I can help ...

Mollusca - invertebrates like clams and snails etc are molluscs.

Phylogeny - sort of like family trees for species of animals and plants.

Neoteny - when a descendant species grows slower than an ancestral one and reaches sexual maturity at what would have been a juvenile stage rather than an adult one.

Biosphere - all the living things on the planet.

Stratigraphy - study of layers of rock.

the Pleistocene - period of time from 1.8 million years ago to 10,000 years ago.

Diatomite - fine grained pale rock formed of diatoms (microscopic plants that have shells (frustules) of silica

Cladistics - a method of working out phylogeny using 'characters', which are usually anatomical differences.

Yep. It's a concept sketch rather than a photo, but it's preeeeetty. I'm a complete fangirl for Lambos and Jags.

I'm working on it. Sadly, that is one of the least of her crimes. The worst varies between "Complete inability to capitalize, spell, punctuate, or write a complete sentence" and "Romantically pairing a thirteen year old angst-monkey Mary-Sue girl with a 105 year old skeleton" depending on my mood.

Skulduggery Pleasant, by Derek Landy. Awesome-fun young adult book (and sequel, Playing With Fire) stars aforementioned animate skeleton. Skulduggery is a private detective, an elemental mage, and a seriously snappy dresser. He's brilliant, but pairing him with a teenage human is Not A Good Thing. He was fully adult when he died, after all.
