Everybody say a prayer for me to the gods of travel and lost things, please? Greyhound ate my luggage tag and now have no clue where my checked bag went. This includes the better part of my armored combat fighting kit, including my helmet, and several other important pieces of my SCA gear.

Normal internet presence returns in a little over 24 hours.

Back from war. My big news is that I received my Award of Arms at Saturday evening court and was publicly complimented on my dedication by His Majesty, King Michael (for being the only armored combatant to show up on the melee field at 9 a.m. on Thursday armored and ready to fight). I won two bouts (out of a pool of ten other fighters) in the Unbelt Tourney, which is an improvement over my last tourney. I bought shiny things, including: pretty beads, trim, a book on women in Celtic cultures, and a good helm (for which I haven't yet paid).

I passed my fighter auth! I am now an official member of the world's largest private militia. Heh. The SCA is a most entertaining and satisfying pastime. ^_^
