hsavinien: (Disc - Just people)
Hi folks, I'm offering two cross-stitch pieces in thanks for a donation to any of the many fine charitable organizations supported by Fandom Trumps Hate 2025.

I will create a fannish, nerdy, queer, and/or gothy cross-stitch designed in conversation with the high bidder. I'm offering two pieces, one small and one large, and bidding will be run separately.

These pieces will not be photorealistic or involve a lot of shading, but I can do fun text, many fictional characters and silliness. NSFW text okay, as well as cartoony sort of nudity (if that's something you want a cross-stitch of), but nothing misogynistic, racist, transphobic, or homophobic. If you have a particular image you want stitched, please show me ahead of time so I can let you know how doable it is. Cross-stitch is basically pixel art in thread. Please see my previous work for ideas on complexity.

The auction will open on February 21 and close March 10. Any attempted bids outside those dates will be deleted.

Auction 1 - Small piece, up to 3"x5". Will complete and mail within 1 month of design finalization. Current high bid.

Auction 2 - Large piece, up to 8"x10". Will complete and mail within 4 months of design finalization. Current high bid.

These pieces will not be mounted or framed and will ship flat in envelopes unless you wish to cover the cost for purchasing a frame and shipping a larger item. They can be sewn into decorative pillows or bookmarks, or framed and displayed that way. I am happy to offer finishing suggestions.

[livejournal.com profile] tsukeru collected a list of all the Avengers Ship names s/he had found so far, so I am borrowing the list to use in an

Avengers/Marvel Movie-verse Shipping Meme
Now, I know y'all (well, many of you) have seen Avengers and the related films and been...intrigued by the armada of shipping possibilities.  So:
  1. Classify: "I ship it!" - "I can see it" - "Undecided" - "Nope"
  2. Name: Bold your favorite ship names, add new ones
  3. Recommend: Found a fun shippy fic/podfic/artwork? Link it under the ship.

There's a couple of pieces still in progress, but these are the finished ones so far.

Just distracted by the internet.  Have a fanart thingy I made for [livejournal.com profile] startrek_diary's Steampunk AU.  Made with GIMP and lots of patience...

From [livejournal.com profile] agenttrojie :

1. Go to Wikipedia.org. Select 'Random Article'. Whatever comes up is the name of your band.

2. Go to quotationspage.com. Select 'Random Quote'. Choose any quote you like on the page, the last few words of the quote are your album title.

3. Go to flickr.com. Select 'Explore'. Select 'Interesting photos from the last 7 days'. The third image is your album cover. (Alternatively, if you cannot find one that allows derivation, go to the Creative Commons section of said site and choose the third of the "most recent uploads.")

4. Go to any photo editing site or use Photoshop/Gimp/..., and put your mad editing skillz to work.

Okay, I'm going to run two cuts here, so people who have any interest in my real life can read that and people who are in it for the fic (don't feel bad, I do the same thing) don't have to.

Ta-dah. Also, I have new drawings up at DevArt. Link to my account in my sidebar.

Since the Big Reveal has passed, here's my GO Gift Exchange 2008 fic. I was terribly pleased with it.

Title: All Hallow's Eve

Recipient: Nny ([livejournal.com profile] villainny )

Author: H. Savinien

Rating: PG-13 (warning for language and young men)

Pairing: Legal!Brian/Wensleydale

Notes: Happy Christmas/winter holiday of your preference, Nny! I had great fun with your “holiday” prompt, but Brian refused to tell me the story of what happened at Christmas, so you get an earlier holiday... Thanks to girlfriend!beta for tolerating several weeks of “how does this paragraph sound?”

Summary: In which there are endings, as befits the time, and beginnings, as befits our theme.

So, this summer, I commissioned a friend of mine to create some character drawings of three of my "Capes" heroes. She more than met my expectations, creating three lovely drawings each for Jamie, Ben, and Anita, also known as Green Knight, Merlin, and Haven. Jamie and Ben appear in my first story and a second, which is still in progress, while Anita stars in the third story, also unfinished at the moment. I hope to have stories two and three finished by the end of the year.

So, behind a cut, to spare your download speed...

Harry Potter fancomic, spoilers for Book 7.  Seriously.  Go look at this.  NOW.  Nonshippy. PG-13 for...impending violence?  Past trauma?

Disney heroes.  Naked-ish.  Technically, the lads have underwear on, but it's not exactly concealing much.  PG-13, verging on R.
This way to a whole new perspective on the guys...

I found a barcode generator and made shinies!  Feel free to use them, credit is appreciated.
