I just checked this in.

Format: VHS
Title: The Good Son
Date: 1993
Rating: R
Summary from back of box:

"Evil resides in an unexpected place in this gripping, suspense-filled drama.  Macauley Culkin stars as Henry, an angelic-looking boy who seems loving and loyal to his parents, sister and friends.  Only his cousin Mark (Elijah Wood) sees what lurks behind Henry's smile - secret thoughts and a love of deadly games.  But when Mark tries to warn Henry's family, they won't believe him, leaving the terrified youngster alone to battle his jealous, menacing cousin."

Librarian's summary from looking at the box:
"BB!Elijah makes sorrowful big blue eyes at everyone, but fails to convince them that BB!Mac is evil, despite BB!Mac's mildly demonic smirk.  They end up dangling from a cliff, presumably during the climactic battle between good and evil."

Interesting. It was okay that he was playing an evil kid, then?

I've seen this! A long long time ago. To the point I remember very little, except that at my young age, Culkin indeed seemed to pull off creepy quite well.

I doubt it would stand up to reviewing as an adult, though :D

Eh, that movie isn't too bad. Culkin actually played evil child pretty well. I have it on VHS somewhere at my mom's house : P
