Capes: more profiles

I've been on a superhero kick again lately, so I though I'd share some more of our characters.  Hopefully, I'll manage to finish another of the stories soonish.  These guys and gals will also be added to the original Guard post, which I'm treating as the masterlist for the Capes superheroic types.

One of the things I've been thinking about lately is the representation of diversity and gender roles/stereotypes in comics.  Any thoughts on this, f-list?  The usual line-ups are pretty predictable and I'm hoping my brothers and I managed to dodge that.

 

Name: Void (V)

Alias: Void

Age: Unknown

Gender/Species: Neuter Construct

Physical Description: 7’ tall, electric (literally) green eyes, dark grey rock jointed with electricity.

Powers: Can release electrical blasts, powerful blows, resistant to harm up to a point (being made of living rock).

Other Talents/Skills: Gardening (fond of Zen gardens), learning herb-medicine.

Connections: Early member of the Guard, under the care of Judicator. Alien origin.

 

Name: Keri Rastiana

Alias: Thirteen-thirty-seven

Age: 16

Gender/Species: Female Human

Physical Description: 5’4”, black hair, brown eyes, med. brown skin. Intense, often hyperactive (consumes large amounts of caffeine regularly).

Powers: Technowizard—can project (up to three) hardlight holograms of video-game characters and either control their actions or allow them to work from simple commands (e.g. “Fight that.”)

Other Talents/Skills: Computer programming, hacking, computer-gaming, “inventing things” (generally labor-saving devices that are too complicated to be useful).

Connections: Provisional member of the Guard (still attends high school, though she skipped a grade level and is in her senior year). Wiccan.

 

Name: Max Carson Jennings

Alias: Gilead

Age: 47

Gender/Species: Male Human

Physical Description: 6’1”, short, greying dark brown hair, brown eyes, dark brown skin. Tends to be very calm, but has a hot temper when roused.

Powers: Can heal simple wounds by laying-on of hands, induce stasis-coma in the seriously injured that will stabilize them for several hours.

Other Talents/Skills: PhD in Cultural Studies, still submits journal articles semi-regularly, camping.

Connections: Member of the Guard. Jewish.

 

Name: Maria Shettely

Alias: Wyrd

Age: 30

Gender/Species: Female Human

Physical Description: Short black hair, brown eyes, 4’11”, Filipino descent, silver tracery (like a tattoo) on her upper right arm.

Powers: Psi communication (a “shout” can disrupt someone’s thoughts entirely for a few seconds).

Other Talents/Skills: Psychiatric training, dedicated to rehabilitating the superpowered criminals they fight whenever possible, costume designing.

Connections: Member of the Guard.

 

Name: 2RENG (Realistic Emotion and Neural Growth Construct, Mk. 2)

Alias: Turing

Age: 11

Gender/Species: Male/Neuter Robot

Physical Description: 6’5”, white eyes, constructed of long, thin, flexible metal struts with a heavily-armored central core processor in his “stomach”.

Powers: Faster, stronger, and tougher than humans.

Other Talents/Skills: High level of skill in martial arts, dedicated to (literal) self-improvement, always upgrading components (thus increasing his abilities), philately.

Connections: Member of the Guard.
