Post of squee. (Rec post)

So, despite Balloon Booby Syndrome among some of the female characters (Hevn-san, who couples it with the inability to wear a proper shirt), I am now heavily fan-squeeing over the GetBackers manga, by Yuya Aoki and Rando Ayamine.  The GetBackers are Ginji Amano, aka "the Lightning Lord," and Ban Mido, "the man with the Evil Eye," who form a freelance repossession service - "We get back what shouldn't be gone!"  They both have extranormal powers, but the coolest part of the manga are the complexity of Gin and Ban's characters, pasts, and relationships with both each other and the secondary characters around them.  The manga is pretty violent and has sexual images enough to warrant an OT (older teen) rating, so think of it as PG-15ish.

Also, lots of fodder for shippers, shaych and hetero...  ^___^  Not incompatible with canon, either.  I support  Ginji/Ban, Kazuki/Juubei, Madoka/Shido, pre-manga Ginji/Shido.

Also, on a similarly squeeish note, I borrowed season 1-3 of Due South from the library today and actually squeed in public.  ^_^
