hsavinien: (J+W - Indeed)
Walking to the bus stop this morning, I passed a car with plates from "Mountie Country: Northwest Territories".  Quiet "Due South" squeeing ensued.  Also, I've had my laptop hard-drive turned into a portable.  Since my laptop was named Vector, the portable is named Ray. <3

I read four of the Torchwood novels on the bus trip to the Empress of Random's wedding (I was chief minion in attendance).  They were good.  Quick, easy reads, reasonably well-written.  There were a few plotholes I picked up on, but they'd have made good episodes, so it works.  Something in the Water reads like it came straight out of an episode.  Twilight Streets is frickin' creepy (Bilis Manger returns, several of Jack's hot ex-boyfriends/fuckbuddies show up, there are clowns...) but pretty good.  At one point in Pack Animals, Ianto's turned invisible and there's a seriously hot kiss when he lets Jack know what's happened to him.  Yum.  Invisible kissing...yum.  Pack Animals also has good use of Gwen.  In Almost Perfect, on the other hand, Ianto's turned into a woman.  I have no problem with that on the whole--genderbending is fun--but he's turned into a primping girlygirl and seems somewhat out of character for the whole book. >_>
