Savinien and the sucky day.

Well, today has been utter crap so far thanks to one incident.

A very sweet nun, Sr Susan, came up to my room-mate Willow (the only other Catholic among the four of us) and I before Mass this morning and managed to stumble her way through asking us to be a lttle less physical in public (i.e. at church). Several weeks ago, the college had a Mass with a luncheon after for a group of sponsors called the I------ Society. That weekend, Willow had gone home to go riding on Saturday. While there, not only did she not get to ride her horse, but she found out that one of her mum's best friends--a woman who practically helped raise her--has cancer and isn't expected to live much longer, and that her cat had an immune disorder that's also dissolving her teeth. So...before Mass, I was cuddling her in the pew to try to cheer her up. I'm a tactile person with my family and close friends. Lacking family at college that affection gets transferred to my friends.
For goodness' sake, people! Hugging and cuddling doesn't mean I'm having sex with a person or even interested in doing so!
But, because they have money, they can bully a lovely (queer-friendly) nun into asking me to not touch a friend in public.

In conclusion, people stink.
