I had a bit of the same thing that made me tear up at the beginning though. *SPOILER FOR PEOPLE THAT HAVEN'T SEEN* I guess it was Kirk's wife giving birth and the bad guy's wife being pregnant and losing one of the partner's and me and Kiwi being in a position where that could happen makes me squeamish/empathetic.
