androgyny
Androgyny is the state of being or at least appearing between genders, undefinably gendered, or at least confusing. ^_~  I'm very fond of it, like to enact it (along with crossdressing and crossplay, aka cosplaying across gender boundaries), and like it in others both aesthetically and as social experiment/commentary.  I play gender neutrality on the internet more often than not and am mistaken for an opposite-gendered person in Real Life even by people who've been talking to me for a while.

arthuriana
Arthuriana is the collection of mythology and literature surrounding the legend of King Arthur and his knights.  I've been a fan since childhood, when I wanted to be a knight of the Round Table when I grew up (and now I'm an armored fighter in the Society for Creative Anachronism, huh...)  I'm also a big fan of retellings of these stories, particularly those by Gerald Morris (which are so awesome and full of snark!)  I participate in a slash community wherein I primarily write arthuriana slash, usually including Sir Dinadan, one of the lesser-known knights.  Sir Palomides the Moor is awesome too.  And Gawain is love.  <3

enjolras
The leader of Les Amis de l'ABC, Les Miserables's student revolutionaries, Enjolras is full of fire and idealism and intelligence and wit and dies tragically, leaving that prat Marius to get all the glory.  I am not (very) bitter.  I liiiike him and would volunteer in an instant to sing his part in the musical were I ever given the chance.  I love him in the musical and the book, and he sadly DOES NOT EXIST in the film *growl*.  Um...he's wonderful and occasionally appears in slash fanfic.

honor
My LJ name is H. Savinien, which is an abbreviated form of the name of my All Time Favorite Fictional Hero Ever (and by the gods, that takes a lot), who is in my mind the embodiment of all that is honorable and wonderful to the extent that I wrote my high school senior paper on French literature primarily to rave about him.  Hercule-Savinien de Cyrano de Bergerac, better known as Cyrano de Bergerac, taught me that honor is not about 'protecting your maidenhood' or taking offense at others, but about living your own life, from your own principles, and standing on your own merit or not at all.  It is better to fail on your own than to shine brightly through someone else's power.

meta
Fandom abbreviation meaning basically personal analysis of a work of literature/film/tv show/fandom itself.  I like hearing other peoples thoughts about the fictional universes and people that interest me.  There's some awfully detailed essays about queerness and feminism in fandom that I find fascinating.  And of course, sometimes I produce my own.

minor character love
I fall in love with people who aren't the Big Damn Hero of the show or book.  Sometimes with secondary characters, sometimes with people who only show up once or twice and are lucky if they get named.  Symptomatic of this are my affections for Lee Jordan (Hogwarts Quidditch announcer, best friend of the Weasley twins), Lieutenant Groves (of Pirates of the Caribbean "That's got to be the best pirate I've ever seen..." fame), Anamaria (kick-butt sailor/pirate of same), Kit Fisto (Jedi Knight in the prequels, green, multiple head-tentacles), Herald Myste (Mercedes Lackey's librarianish self-insert Herald of Valdemar), Velkan Valerious (Van Helsing ill-fated Descendant and reluctant werewolf), Erasmus Spendlove (Admiral Horatio Hornblower's clerk), and so on.
Also refers to secondary character pairings, some of which do not occur to the average viewer/reader.  For example: Carl Romeo/Tom Swale (Young Wizards series), Percy Weasley/Oliver Wood (HP, of course), Wensleydale/Brian (Good Omens) Glorfindel/Erestor (Lord of the Rings).

swords
Um... Sharp-pointy-shiny pieces of metal with which to damage/maim/incapacitate/kill (at last resort) people or things which are attacking you or hurting somebody.  Pretty.  Shiny.  Sharp.  Yay!  I have a bastard sword I named Scathach.
